What is MDF?
MDF is an engineered wood product that is inherently green. MDF is made from recycled wood and parts of trees that are normally discarded. MDF has no grain, unlike real wood, making MDF the perfect choice for smooth and consistent painting. MDF, being manufactured, is perfectly flat and straight. MDF does not warp or expand over time like real wood can. MDF, unlike particle board or melamine, can be painted to match you homes color scheme. By using MDF you are not set into one color for the life of the product. MDF is a full 3/4” thick, while melamine and particle board are 5/8” thick, making a MDF cabinet more solid and longer lasting.
